Union City Council Approve First Reading of Increased Rural Fire Subscription Fees

Union City Council members have approved a first reading for increased rural fire subscription fees.

The reading of the ordinance came at Tuesday’s Council meeting.

Union City Fire Chief Karl Ullrich told Thunderbolt News about the proposed plan for subscription rates.(AUDIO)

 

Chief Ullrich said the fire department is hoping to maintain their subscription customers for rural fire protection, which he says is a good deal for residents and property owners.(AUDIO)

 

The proposed ordinance also includes a subscriber fee of $2,500 to the County of Obion County to cover fires at properties, vehicles and right of way owned by the county.
