The National Weather Service in Memphis has placed the Ken-Tenn area in a Level 3, or Enhanced Zone, for the possibility of severe weather on Thursday.
Forecasters say strong to severe storms are possible from late afternoon through the evening.
The primary threat on Thursday is damaging winds, with a secondary threat of hail and tornadoes.
All of Western Kentucky is in the Level 3 zone, along with Lake, Obion, Weakley, Henry and portions of Dyer, Gibson and Carroll County.
