The University of Tennessee at Martin, and Jackson State Community College, has entered into a dual-enrollment agreement.
The agreement will provide a seamless pathway to transition from the community college to the UT- Martin campus.
Dual admission for first-year students is available to students who meet admission guidelines for both schools, have a 3.0 or better high school grade-point average, or a 2.7 high school grade-point average and minimum ACT score of 21 or SAT score of 980.
Students can transfer from Jackson State to UT- Martin with a completed associate degree, or have completed 60 hours at the community college with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Jackson State President Carol Rothstein said the agreement was years in the making, after more than 1,000 students had transferred from Jackson State to UT-Martin successfully.
