Tennessee U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty has introduced legislation to block unconstitutional tracking of gun store purchases.
This week, Senator Hagerty introduced the “Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act”, which protects gun store customers by blocking surveillance by Merchant Category Codes.
Senator Hagerty said the codes unlawfully track all gun store purchases and should never be used.
Hagerty said if the overreach is not stopped with gun sales, a move will soon be made to weaponize the financial system against anyone making purchases which oppose the leftist agenda.
