Thanks For Coming Around Eclipse.. See You Again in 2045

You didn’t have to go out of town to see the Eclipse in the Ken Tenn area yesterday. Locally the coverage of the moon over the sun was approximately 99.1 percent with little cloud cover from 1 til 3pm.

Many schools allowed children to step outside and watch the sky as the moon slowly started to cover the sun which took about an hour.

Some businesses took a pause to allow employees to watch as the moon slowly moved into place and then moved on after about two minutes.  The Eclipse caused never before seen shadows and watchers felt the temperatures to drop and hear birds confused and chirping, thinking it was time for them to roost.

UT Martin’s professor of Physics Dr. Lionell Crews called it “a magnificent moment to watch the moon cover the sun”

And if you watched you might consider holding on to those Eclipse glasses… you’ll need them again in 20-45.
