The Eclispe Is Coming Our Way!

After thunderstorms yesterday the weather should clear for a   be a beautiful day for the Solar Eclipse

For seven years now, millions of spectators from Mexico to Canada have eagerly anticipated seeing another solar eclipse.   This one bringing totality  when the moon gets in front of the sun.

Here in the Ken Tenn Area the eclipse can be seen best  in McCracken County in Kentucky.

It’s expected to be North America’s biggest eclipse crowd thanks to the densely populated path from Texas to Maine. However  cloud cover continues to threaten the view for millions .

 

In Lake,  Obion, Weakley, Fulton, river counties  and several across the other siide of the  Mississippi River  you should see a near total eclipse assuming clear skies.

During the eclipse, the moon will pass in front of the sun and obscure it for up to 4 1/2 minutes.

The rest of North America will see a partial eclipse, weather permitting.

Traveling toward Paducah on the Purchase Parkway, travelers should be mindful of the one lane barriers and also Kentucky State Police..
