murder-3

Union City police have issued attempted murder charges following the shooting of two men on Wednesday.

Police reports said Nedric Monyelle Jones was taken into custody on three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony.

Officers were dispatched to shots fired in the 300 block of North Clover Street, when they discovered a disabled vehicle had run over a stop sign and had the back window busted out.

While at the scene, officers were informed that Jamir Johnson and Montel Dickerson were brought to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City with gunshot wounds.

Information from the shooting victims indicated an unknown black male ran up to their vehicle and began shooting.

An investigation determined Jones to be the shooter, with his arrest made on Thursday on North Morgan Street.
