A tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has resulted in the arrest of a Paducah man.
Paducah Police Detectives were notified that 53 year old Richard A. Gibson was in possession of child sex abuse material.
Police reports said officers learned that Gibson was on the lifetime sex offender registry for sexual abuse of an 11-year old child in Oklahoma.
A search warrant for Gibson’s home resulted in the collection of electronic devices, along with the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was taken into custody on charges that included possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and possession of methamphetamine.
Police say additional charges are pending.
