Tennessee 24th District State Senator John Stevens has been recognized as a top rated lawmaker.
Senator Stevens was recently named the top “Defender of Limited Government” by the national conservative group Institute for Legislative Analysis.
The Huntingdon Republican was also named top Tennessee Senator for having the most closely aligned voting record with limited government principles of the U.S. Constitution.
Following the announcement of recognition, Senator Stevens said preserving freedom and individual liberties were fundamental principles for him.
Senator Stevens added that Tennesseans are in the best position to make decisions for themselves and their families, and government should not get in the way.
