The Tennessee Appellate Court has affirmed the judgment of an Obion County trial court in the murder case against Tony Mosley, of Union City.
The higher court agreed the jury rightfully found Mosley guilty of second degree murder in the death of 20 year old Decora Alexander, of South Fulton.
Ms. Alexander was a freshman at UT-Martin, and a member of the university dance team, when she was murdered at Mosley’s home on May 11th of 2019.
Autopsy reports said Ms. Alexander was stabbed forty times in multiple areas of her body.
Mosley’s attorneys made numerous appeals against the trial court, which included insufficient evidence to support conviction; the admittance of crime scene photographs and a life-in-being photograph, and an excessive sentence without consideration of proof.
The Tennessee Court of Appeals found no reversible error and affirmed the trial court on their decision.
