UT-Martin Chancellor Dr. Yancy Freeman has been named the keynote speaker for the 25th African American Leadership Conference in Jackson.
Dr. Freeman will headline the event, which is scheduled for April 16th at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Jackson.
The event is offered through the UT-Martin WestStar Leadership Program, and will include guest speakers and panelists from private business, education, law enforcement and health care.
The conference will begin with a welcoming by Dr. Bob Smith, who is the co-founder of the WestStar Leadership Program and former UT-Martin Chancellor.
