A suspect charged in the February armed robbery of a Hickman liquor store has plead “not guilty”.

40 year old Mario Williams, of Union City, made his first court appearance in Fulton County District Court on Tuesday.

Court officials said Williams made the plea of “not guilty” on the charge of first degree robbery, and was appointed a public defender.

Williams had his bond set at ten-percent of $50,000, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 16th.

Following a Kentucky State Police investigation into the robbery, charges were issued against Williams.

He was arrested in Union City on March 24th and extradited to the Fulton County Detention Center in Hickman.
