Work continues on the I-24 bridge at mile marker 29… the work zone includes a traffic shift with two-11 feet travel lanes for both eastbound and westbound traffic on the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.
Also the 55 mile an hour speed limit and some barrels require caution with travel trailers.
The 55 mile per hour speed limit has enhanced enforcement with double fines. Also there are concrete barrier wall that require extra caution.
The restrictions will remain up on April 8th which is the day for the highest traffic because of the eclipse.
Meanwhile the Purchase Parkway exit at highway 307 at Exit 2 will be closed til further notice and the traffic on the Purchase Parkway continues to be a work zone at Exit 21 at Mayfield.
On completion later this year, Interstate 69 will be extended along the final 21 miles of the existing parkway. The target completion date for all of the upgrades is December 15th.
