Dresden’s Keith Hodge Accepts Coaching Position at McKenzie High School

Dresden football coach Keith Hodge says he has accepted the head coaching position at McKenzie High School.

The decision by Hodge came following the recent departure of McKenzie coach Wade Comer to Milan.

After posting a (13-1) record last season, coach Hodge told Thunderbolt News about his decision to step away from the position with the Lions.(AUDIO)

 

Coach Hodge said the bottom line in accepting the job at McKenzie was based on family.(AUDIO)

 

Dresden advanced to the TSSAA state semi-finals in Class-A last season, before falling to the Rebels 25-14.

Coach Hodge explained his talk with the players following his decision to leave.(AUDIO)

 

Hodge said he will remain at Dresden High School for the remainder of this school year, and will continue his work in the classroom at McKenzie.
