The University of Tennessee Martin has a new men’s basketball coach.
Athletic Director Kurt McGuffin has announced that Jeremy Shulman will be the 13th head coach in program history.
The 44 year old Shulman is a Nashville native, who has spent the last 14 season’s as head coach at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne.
Under Shulman’s guidance, the Titans have elevated to a national powerhouse with 11 conference championships, along with two Final Four and three Elite Eight appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 Tournament.
McGuffin called coach Shulman a “rising star in the coaching profession”, and said he could not envision a better candidate to build off of the program’s recent success.
A formal press conference and reception is scheduled for coach Shulman next week.
