The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be assisting motorists for this week’s Easter holiday.
TDOT crews and contractors will stop all road construction work that requires lane closures in anticipation of increased holiday travel.
Construction work will stop at 6:00 on Thursday afternoon, and will remain halted until 6:00 on Monday morning.
During the weekend period, TDOT officials say some long-term lane closures on construction projects will remain in place.
Motorists are urged to adhere to slower speeds in these work areas.
