Firefighters Respond to Residential Fire in Union City

Firefighters were called to a structure fire Friday night in Union City.

Assistant Fire Chief Tim Hopper told Thunderbolt News that firefighters were called to a home at 632 East Cheatham Street around 8:00.

Chief Hopper said the fire started on the porch of the occupied residence and moved into the attic.

No injuries were received, but damage was significant.

Firefighters from Union City were assisted by the South Fulton and Rives Fire Departments.

Chief Hopper said personnel were on the scene until midnight.

The fire has been ruled as accidental.
