Murray State women’s basketball team fell 78 to 67 at Southern Mississippi in the second round of the second round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament, Saturday.
In that game Katelyn Young became the Racers’ all time scoring leader. Young broke the 35 year old record and scored 2,313 career points breaking the previous record held by Shelia Smith.
Young also made her 1000th career rebound and scored 1004 rebounds.
She is the only Racer to have made 2000 plus points and 1000 plus rebounds in Murray State history and is only the second in Racer history after Racer Hall-of-Famer Popeye Jones.
