The trip to the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament ended abruptly for the Union City Golden Tornadoes on Wednesday.
Union City was eliminated by Chattanooga Prep 85-53 in the opening round at Murfreesboro.
Coach Shane Sisco’s team trailed by only four points at halftime, and six points late in the third quarter, before the Sentinels made a big late run.

Union City came into the game as the Regional Champions, and winners of 17 straight games.
