The UT-Martin women Skyhawks became the first team to punch their ticket to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Coach Kevin McMillan’s team won the conference bid with their 54-48 semifinal win over Little Rock in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in Evansville.
The automatic bid was awarded to UT-Martin, due to the ineligibility of No.1 seed Southern Indiana.
The Screaming Eagles are currently in their four year reclassification process to Division One.
The Women Skyhawks will know their opponent and destination on Sunday, when the 68 team field will be announced.
