The 39th annual Mr. and Miss Tennessee Basketball Awards will be presented tonight on the floor of the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.
The presentations will be made at 5:00 on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
Union City High School’s Malaki Brooks is a finalist for Tennessee Mr. Basketball in Class-A.
In girl’s basketball, McKenzie’s Savannah Davis is a finalist for Miss Basketball in Class-A, while Gibson County’s Micah Hart is a finalist in Class-2A.
A statewide committee of sportswriters selected winners based on performance during the 2023-2024 regular season.
Academics and character were also taken into consideration.
High school head basketball coaches and members of the media nominated the finalists for the awards.
