The South Fulton Lady Red Devils boarded the bus Tuesday morning for their trip to the TSSAA State Tournament in Murfreesboro.
A community send-off was held for the Lady Red Devils, which began at the school and continued with a caravan to meet supporters around the community.
Coach Curt Lee’s (22-8) Lady Red Devils will face (30-3) Wayne County in the last game of the day, tipping off at 8:45.
As players boarded the bus for the trip, Coach Lee said today’s trip will include a shoot around at Riverdale High School.
Coach Lee said the team was a well rounded ball club, and well deserving of the opportunity to play in the state tournament.
Broadcast of the South Fulton-Wayne County State Tournament game can be heard tonight on 104.9 KYTN, starting with the pre-game show at approximately 8:15.
