The Union City Golden Tornadoes punched their ticket to the TSSAA State Basketball Tournament with a 77-45 win over Booker T. Washington.
The Class-A Sectional win, in front of a sold out Marty Sisco Gymnasium, was Union City’s 17th straight victory.
Malaki Brooks led the way over the Warriors with 37 points, followed by 17 points from Ben Kail and 14 from Joseph Lattus.
Union City will now head to the State Tournament for the first time since 2015, and will face Chattanooga Prep next Wednesday at 4:00.
