A Union City woman was taken into custody on a fourth offense of driving under the influence.
Union City police reports said 46 year old Jamie Marie Simmons was issued the charge, after being observed driving recklessly by an off duty officer.
Police reports said the vehicle operated by Ms. Simmons was all over the road on East Reelfoot Avenue, striking the curb and also hitting another vehicle on the parking lot of East Town Apartments.
A check of Ms. Simmons license indicated they were revoked until September of 2028, following three prior driving under the influence convictions in January, May and September of 2022.
Due to being unsteady and fear of her safety, a sobriety test was stopped and Ms. Simmons was taken into custody and charged with driving on a revoked license and fourth offense driving under the influence.
