The art work of an Obion County Central student has been selected as the new county seal.
Following a contest featuring artwork provided by multiple area students, an online vote overwhelmingly selected the work of Jose Ramirez, a junior at Obion Central.
On Monday, the full County Commission also voted unanimously to accept the new seal, which is the first update in 40 years.
Obion County Central art teacher Miranda Brown attended the meeting, and told Thunderbolt News about the talents of her winning student.(AUDIO)
