Tennessee 77th District State Representative Rusty Grills has announced a designation proposal for the month of November.
Representative Grills submitted House Bill 2125, which would designate November as “Christian Heritage Month” in the state.
The Newbern Republican introduced the bill on January 24th, with it now up for consideration in the House State Government Committee on Wednesday.
Grill’s said passage of the bill will allow celebration of spiritual heritage, with the nation’s bedrock principles, morals and ethics deeply rooted in Christianity and religious freedom.
According to the Pew Research Center, more than 80-percent of Tennessee adults identify as being Christian.
