A real life experience prompted the beginning of an Obion County project, which continues to provide food for children.
Obion County Coordinated School Health Director Chastity Homra told Thunderbolt News about the occurrence that prompted the start of the Backpack Program.(AUDIO)
The Backpack Program provides food for children during the weekends, when school is not in session.
Ms. Homra said the program remains strong in providing needed nutrition for the area children.(AUDIO)
