The Hickman Fire Department was called to a wildfire on Wednesday afternoon around 3:00.
Fire Chief John Amberg said an individual was burning brush in West Hickman, when a hillside on Davis Street caught fire.
Chief Amberg said the department was fortunate to contain the blaze, and keep it from spreading father than it did.
The Chief is reminding area residents that a burn ban is in place in Kentucky through April 30, with no burning allowed during the day from 6:00 until 6:00.
