The Union City Police Department is investigating the theft of funds from a bank account.
Police reports said officers spoke with Joan Morris, of Union City, who discovered almost $1,4000 taken from her ex-mother-in-law’s account when paying for her nursing home bill.
Ms. Morris presented a statement from Commercial Bank, showing the account was used to pay an electricity bill.
Police are now seeking a Judicial Subpoena for records as they continue an investigation.
