UT Martin defeated OVC opponent Morehead State 88-82 to improve th 17 and 10 overall and 10 and 4 in the conference. In doing so Junior guard Jordan Sears scored his 1,000th point and became the 19th member of the Skyhawks’ 1,000-point club.
Sears is only the fourth player to accomplish that feat in two seasons or less, joining Lester Hudson, Michael Hart and Marcus Glass. Meanwhile Sears ended his day with a game-high 31 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals while playing all 40 minutes.
The Skyhawks head to Missourri to play OVC opponent Lindenwood at 7:30 Thursday.
