UT Martin men’s basketball team ended Saturday’s contest on a 10-3 run to shock the Western Illinois Leathernecks in a tight 62-59 Ohio Valley Conference triumph. Jordan Sears played the full 40 minutes, finishing with 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Issa Muhammad generated his sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Jacob Crews with 12 points rounded out UT Martin’s double-digit scorers.
UT Martin women came back from a 20-point deficit to tie their game with Western Illinois in the fourth quarter but the Skyhawk s fell 71-61. The Skyhawks were led by Anaya Brown’s 25 points, eight rebounds and three steals while Kenley McCarn added 17 points, five assists and four rebounds for UT Martin.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Tyrece Radford had 27 points and Wade Taylor IV added 25 as Texas A&M never trailed in an 85-69 win over No. 6 Tennessee on Saturday night. The victory is the third straight and fifth in the last six games for Texas A&M (15-8, 6-4 Southeastern Conference). It’s A&M’s second win this season over a top-10 team after the Aggies outlasted then-No. 6 Kentucky in a 97-92 overtime victory Jan. 13.
