6z-2

The body of the missing 62 year old Charles Baldridge has been recovered in Obion County.

Obion County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Matt Woods and Deputy Caleb Hayden recovered the body Thursday just before noon in Hoosier Creek.

Due to the forecast for additional rain, Deputy Woods and Deputy Hayden decided to make a search of the creek area in a boat, with the body recovered in water approximately eight-to-eleven feet deep.

The recovery was about 300 yards south of Mt. Pelia Road, and approximately five miles from the scene of the recovery of Baldridge’s truck from a flooded creek on Walker-Tanner Road.

Lt. Joe Key told Thunderbolt News the recovery was made almost 200 yards before reaching the Obion River.

Baldridge has been missing since January 9th, with his truck recovered on January 27th.

He will now be sent for autopsy.
