KSP UPDATE: Missing child, Lela Black, has been located safely. Byron Black has been taken into custody.
The Kentucky State Police has issued a Amber Alert for a 5-year-old girl named Lela Black after her biological father left with her in friday the 26th.
Lela Black is descrubed as 3 foot 6 inches tall with brown hair and eyes weighing 40 pounds.
Byron Black the suspect, is described as a 42-year-old white male, 6 feet tall weighing 180 pounds.
Byron Black was last seen driving a 1996 white Chevy Silverado with peeling paint on the hood, with California Plates 5J83779.
According to KSP Post 2 and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, troopers were called to Kelly Black’s home on Sunday, January 28 and determined that she had been shot in the back of the head.
Byron Black is considered armed and dangerous.
