A Western Kentucky man is now facing charges of murder involving the death of his mother.
Kentucky State Police at Post 1 said 20 year old Tyler Prince, of Carlisle County, has been charged with murder and first degree assault.
On January 10th, Prince called 911 requesting an ambulance for his mother, Jessica Gerth, who reportedly had fallen.
Physicians at a Paducah hospital observed multiple injuries inconsistent with a fall, and Ms. Gerth was transported to a Tennessee trauma center.
Following an investigation by State Police, Prince was arrested and charged with domestic violence first degree assault.
On January 12th, Post 1 was notified of the passing of Ms. Gerth, with Prince charged with murder.
Last week, the Carlisle County grand jury indicted Prince on the assault and murder charges, with his bond set at $250,000.
