A Greenfield man is behind bars after being charged with First Degree Murder and abuse of a corspe in the death of his girlfriend.
Weakley County Sheriff Terry McDade said 32 year old William Taylor McNeal is placed in the Detention Center in Dresden and is accused of killing 43 year old Krista Davis.
Davis body was found on the kitchen floor Saturday with trauma wounds to her face and chest, caused by a sword as well as gunshot wounds to her head.
McNeal left the scene and headed to the Jackson airport where he was arrested while he was trying to purchase a plane ticket.
McNeal had his first Court appearance in front of Judge Tommy Moore Monday of charges of First degree murder and tampering with a corpse.
Judge Moore is not setting a bond for McNeal at this time, and mentioned he possibly would not set a bond for him at his hearing coming up on February 7th due to the degree of his crimes.
