An investigation continues into the death of a woman in Greenfield on Saturday.
Weakley County Sheriff Terry McDade said William McNeal has been detained for questioning, following the discovery of the body of Krista Davis.
Officers with the Greenfield Police Department, and Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, responded to an address in the city limits in regards to a deceased female.
At the scene, police located Ms. Davis lying in the kitchen floor.
Sheriff’s reports said Ms. Davis had severe trauma wounds to her face and chest.
McNeal was identified as a person of interest and was later detained by officers.
