Four Arrested Following McCracken County Traffic Stop

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested four people for drug related offenses following a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Lone Oak Road near I-24 for traffic infractions.

It was determined the driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Warren Brown of Paducah, was under the influence of illegal drugs.

Three passengers, 31-year-old Kelly Johnson of McCracken County, 38-year-old Matthew Lawson of Marion, Kentucky, and 30-year-old James Mitchell of Calvert City, were also arrested for drug possession.

A search of the vehicle revealed quantities of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Brown was charged with no registration plates and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, with Johnson charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding bench warrant for contempt of court.

Lawson was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia
