Four and 0 Western Illinois defeated UT Martin 73-64 last night in the Elam Center in an OVC contest.
UT Martin’s Jacob Crews finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Skyhawks who fell to 9-8 and 2-2 in the OVC. Jordan Sears had 13 points on 5-for-17 shooting, while Jalen Myers scored 10 off the bench.
Earlier UT Martin women overcame a slow start before shooting 67 percent and won 68 to 49 over the Lady Leathernecks.
UT Martin improved to 6 and 9 overall and 3 and 1 in the OVC while freshman Norah Clark tossed in 19 points adding eight rebounds and three steals. Western Illinois fell to 11-4 and 2-2 in the conference.
UT Martin men and women will host Arkansas, Little Rock Saturday with air time at 12:30 on Talk and News WCMT in Elam Center tip off at 1pm
