With the start of the new year, Tennessee drivers are seeing cheaper gas prices than 2023.

In the past week, the average gas price across the state dropped six cents to $2.74 a gallon, which is 16 cents less than one month ago.

Williamson County has the most expensive average gas price at $3.27 and Henry County has the cheapest at $2.55.

Locally, Weakley County is at $2.82, Obion County is $2.70, Gibson County $2.79, and Carroll County $2.81.

Triple A Spokeswoman Megan Cooper said gas prices are typically cheaper at the start of the year thanks to lower gasoline demand, and it’s likely cheaper prices will continue if crude oil prices remain low.
