Party goers looking to get out and celebrate the start of the New Year will have a safe way to make it to their destination.
Martin Police Captain Eric Reid said police will offer drivers a free and safe way to get to their next stop. Beginning at 7pm New Year’s Eve to 3am New Year’s Day Martin police will take any one to where they want to go inside the city limits if they call 731-587-5355. The Martin Safety Bus will pick up any one who needs a ride home or some where else to go inside the City of Martin. The Safety Bus is a partnership with Volunteer Distributing in Dresden working to keep motorist off the streets who may have had too much to drink.
