It was a career day for Tennessee Lady Vol Tess Darby of Greenfield who set a career high six- three pointers on nine attempts winning over Liberty.
Darby finished the day with a career best 18 points in the 90 to 55 win. With the six three pointers Darby improved to eighth place on the Lady Vols’ “three pointer” career player with 148 points.
Darby is a graduate of Greenfield High School and helped the Lady Yellow Jackets to win their first girls state championship in 2018. Two years later Greenfield advanced to the state tournament on a 34 game undefeated win streak only to have the state tournament cancelled after the first game because of Covid.
The Lady Vols will open their S E C season with a road trip to Auburn Thursday at 6 central time.
