Six individuals who are incarcerated in prison at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville have received their Bachelor’s degrees from Lane College.
The degrees were earned through collaboration between Lane College in Jackson and the Tennessee Higher Education in Prison Initiative.
All six achieved their bachelor’s degrees in business administration.
Lane College participated in The “Second Chance Pell Experiment program.”
The initiative allows inmates to earn associates, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees while in prison.
