Two people were killed Wednesday morning in a plane crash in Union City.
An official with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office told Thunderbolt News the two individuals, whose identity has not been released, were doing aerobatics training at Everett-Stewart Regional Airport.
Sheriff’s reports said during the training, witnesses reported the plane nose dived and crashed into the solar farm west of the airport terminal.
Officers with the Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at approximately 10:50 on Wednesday morning.
An investigator with the Federal Aviation Administration was on the scene today, with National Transportation Safety Board officials expected to arrive on Thursday.
An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
