A Carroll County man has been indicted for selling a firearm to Jason Autry.
Autry was previously convicted in connection with the 2011 rape and murder of UT Martin nursing student Holly Bobo in Decatur County.
U.S. Attorney for West Tennessee Michael Dunavant says 55-year-old Danny Joe Ivy, of Buena Vista, was indicted last Thursday in Jackson federal court for selling a firearm to a convicted felon and making false statements to a federal law enforcement agent.
During the same grand jury session, Autry’s previous indictment returned last month for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm was superseded to add and include a second count for possession of ammunition while being a convicted felon.
If convicted, Ivy faces up to ten years in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
There is no parole in the federal system.
The ATF and Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
