Gibson County confirms first case of COVID-19

Gibson County has its first confirmed case of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

According to a release from Gibson County officials, the patient is recovering in isolation at home.

This marks West Tennessee’s fifth case of the virus, outside of Shelby County.

Two cases have been reported in Dyer County, and one each in Carroll, Fayette, and Gibson Counties.
