A Sharon man appears in Weakley County General Sessions Court Wednesday on a charge of rape of a child.
40-year-old Gerald Belt was arrested Friday after a forensic investigation by the Department of Children’s Services.
The rape charge involves a girl under the age of ten.
Belt was released from the Weakley County Jail Friday on a $2,500 bond and ordered not to have any contact with the victim.
